Fly into Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport from Johannesburg and be transferred by a friendly guide to the exclusive Kapama Karula Camp. Kapama Karula Camp is an exquisite lodge that provides amenities comparable to the finest in the Sabi Sands, including all meals, soft and alcoholic beverages, and outstanding service.

Day 1

Kapama Game Reserve

Guests fly into Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport from Johannesburg. We will meet you at Eastgate for transportation to and from Kapama Game Reserve. After a light meal and some time to clean up, you will go on a game drive deep within the reserve with your guide and spotter.

Along the route, you will pull over for a drink and some fresh air as the sun sets behind the Drakensberg Mountains. The nocturnal animals of the jungle emerge as dusk approaches. A variety of unique species may be noticed on the way back to the resort at night.

The skilled tracker will sweep the landscape with a flashlight that illuminates animaleyes. Arrival at the lodge is usually around 19:00, in time for a delicious lunch. Your accommodation is provided at the exclusive Kapama Karula Lodge.

Kapama Karula Lodge offers the ultimate in luxury in Big Five country. This exclusive private lodge is located on the banks of the Klaserie River. Kapama Private Game Reserve has a diverse range of birds and mammals, making it one of the largest and most diverse reserves in Limpopo. The lodge has 12 luxury en-suite accommodation options, each with its own distinct style and level of comfort. You can unwind in your spacious room or on your private deck with a view of the river. You can also take advantage of the lodge's amenities, such as the Tree-House Pub and Lounge. The swimming pool is a great place to unwind and cool off between game drives. You can pamper yourself at the wellness centre at nearby Kapama River Lodge, where you can indulge in a variety of spa treatments or work out at the gym.

Day 2 & 3

Kapama Game Reserve

On these days you will rise between 5:00 and 05:30 for tea or coffee and rusks before setting off on morning game drives or even a bush walk. After a substantial breakfast at the lodge, you will have time to relax by the pool, read a nice book, enjoy the rest of the lodge's amenities or participating in another optional activity. After a sumptuous high tea, you will go on an afternoon wildlife drive that may last past twilight; the day will invariably conclude with a delicious dinner and a discussion of the day's sightings.
